More Than The Music
Jon Seeks makes music that’s more than sound—it’s survival, healing, and truth-telling wrapped in rhythm. From as early as age three, Jon Seeks was rapping in his family’s music room, raised by a father who was an engineer and beat maker, and an uncle who was a DJ. That early exposure to turntables, sound systems, and late-night sessions lit a fire in him. Influenced by powerful storytellers like Bob Marley and Lil Wayne, and shaped by hip-hop, R&B, and alternative rock, Jon Seeks grew up inspired by the way music could carry both message and melody—grit and grace. That blend became the foundation of his own voice.
But inspiration wasn’t enough to keep him from the pull of the streets. As a teen, he moved through dark seasons—robbing, hustling, and chasing survival. By the time he hit prison, life had broken him in too many ways to count. But those three years behind bars became a turning point. With no distractions, no fast exits—just time and truth—he was forced to face himself. He ran a poker stand inside, learning that success didn’t have to come from the streets.
During that same time, the mother of his children fell into addiction, and their kids were taken away. Watching it unfold from a distance was one of the hardest parts of his incarceration—but helping her fight her way back and eventually reunite with their children deeply impacted him. That experience gave Jon Seeks a heart for people battling addiction and those navigating the pain it leaves behind.
After his release, Jon Seeks began writing business plans—first for a cleaning company, then for a construction business. He soon reconnected with his cousin, who was already on a similar journey. The two joined forces, combining ambition, values, and vision. “He helped me find my blueprint,” Jon Seeks says. And now, that’s what he hopes to offer others—proof that there’s a way out, and that it’s never too late to rebuild.
Jon Seeks pours all of this—his pain, growth, and spiritual perspective—into music that’s raw, emotional, and full of purpose. His single Dangerous is a bold reflection on how people can misjudge character based on pasts or appearances. Through his label, Mud Over Blood Ent., he’s created more than a brand—he’s created a family and a foundation. “Sometimes, the people you fight your way out of the mud with become more like family than the ones you share blood with,” Jon Seeks says. That belief drives everything he builds.
All that Jon Seeks has lived through—the struggle, the loss, the rebuilding—now fuels a bigger mission. Mud Over Blood Ent. isn’t just a label; it’s proof that growth can come from the grind, and family can be forged in the fire.
